OUR WORK

COOKE AQUACULTURE SCOTLAND LTD.

Atom Consultants project managed the extension of a salmon hatchery for Cooke Aquaculture Scotland Ltd., a salmon farming company located in Furnace, a village in Argyll, on the west coast of Scotland, on the north shore of Loch Fyne, the longest sea loch in the United Kingdom.  We integrated specialist salmon hatchery process into a building design and project managed and designed the extension and modernisation of this top of the range salmon hatchery and processing plant. We have also worked on their other site on the island of Yell, North East of Shetland.

Cooke Aquaculture Scotland chose to adopt building information modelling (BIM) to develop the design as well as aid the management of construction and property maintenance. This decision enabled value to be added throughout the whole project life cycle. Atom Aerial, our drone arm has produced a drone video of the site, which you can view here

Cooke Aquaculture Scotland Ltd. is a subsidiary of Cooke Aquaculture Inc. –  a Canadian family-owned company with a head office in Black’s Harbour, New Brunswick Canada , which processes and sells 115,000 metric tons (whole fish equivalent) of Atlantic salmon and 20,000 metric tons (whole fish equivalent) of sea bass and sea bream each year, with the annual sales  valued at nearly $1 billion.
