OUR WORK

LOGOPLASTE:

The Portugese privately owned rigid plastic packaging manufacturer Logoplaste’s product list includes bottles for the Lucozade and Jose Cuervo drinks brands, and for detergent Fairy liquid. Atom Consultants managed all the design and structural engineering works for their UK’s newest plant in Dumfries, Scotland. Logoplaste Dumfries started supplying Arla with milk bottles on a 24/7/364 basis in February 2015 and has the capacity to store over 2 million bottles. In line with Logoplaste’s “Hole-in-the-wall model”,the Dumfries site, that was once a war airfield, is located just 8 miles from the partner Arla’s Lockerbie site, making it cost-efficient to supply an optimum packaging solution straight to the client’s site.

Regeneration of this original aircraft hangar into a state of the art production facility involved complete remodelling of the existing building to bring it up to 21st century standards. This included producing drawings for all Local Authority Permissions, specialist foundations for new extrusion equipment as well as completely revamping the external elevations to produce a truly functional building.
